My turn signals quit working the other day. Checked the fuse, changed the flasher itself and still nothing. Bulbs are all good as the 4 ways still operate normally. What else in that circuit is prone to failure? Anyone else ever have this happen? Got to get her fixed soon, inspection time!

Chris,

I don't know, but are the turns and the 4ways on the same flasher? I had a problem with mine last summer and the flasher I had just replaced, kept jiggling loose. It's currently taped in place. That did it for me.

The turns and emergencies are on different circuits and different flashers. Swap to a known good flasher unit to verify it is not the flasher unit. If that doesn't work it may be an issue in the turn signal activator in the steering column.

I had the same thing happen to my 90 ramcharger. It turned out to be the turn sinal switch. You can plug a new one in at the base of the steering column to make sure that is the problem before you take it apart.

The turn signals and the 4 ways are on separate flashers and I have swapped in one that is good with no result. It's looking like the switch at this point. I see in the manual there is a procedure using an ohmmeter to test the "multifunction switch". Maybe I'll give that a whirl to see if anything is abnormal. Thanks for your input guys.

I have just the opposite problem- turn signals, but no flashers. Could they be related? The problems, I mean, not the flashers and turn signals .
