The turn signals will blink about 6-10 times then stop, then after a little while they will work again, then stop. The switch stays in the same position and releses as it should when I turn the wheel. Both sides have the same problem, I think it is the switch, I have been having some issues changing from high beams to low beams. Does anyone have any experience with this type of problem?

Weidner,

Check for loose, broken wiring connection in the steering wheel column. Sometimes there is not enough slack in the wiring bundle and causes a wire to be pulled out of the connector when steering wheel is raised/lowered.

Sounds like the clock spring may have gotten you!! Mine just did and I had to go in and repair two wires. Lengthened them, soldered up and wrapped with heat shrink.
