I own a 2006 Dodge diesel 3/4 ton. I am having problems where the turn signals will stopp all together and then moments later when I activate the left turn signal the right turn signal will work for a few seconds and then quit. I am new to the register and am really excited to find new ways to improve my truck. I hope this post is in the correct spot. Thanks for any help, my dealer is stumped as to the specific problem.

Dad's '03 is doing the same thing. All the light bulbs are OK. It will work right for a while and then it will activate the wrong blinker or none at all. It did this a while ago I guess and he thought he found something wrong with the trailer plug. We'll start there again and see what we come up with.

I checked the cluster for codes and turned up 25 06. For those that don't know, with the key off push the trip odo reset button and hold it while you turn the key to "run". The whole cluster goes thru a diagnostic and will show any codes in the odo.

Couldn't find 25 06 on the site in the FAQ section.

Sounds like the "multi-function switch" which controls the dimmers, turn signals and wiper speed controls and maybe others. bg

Yep, we got it narrowed down to that by playing with everything for a while. Dad said they did replace that a while ago. Methinks a dimmer on the floor and a switch on the dash for the wipers would save on the multi-crap thingy.

Multi Function Switch

I am having a similar problem, my turn signals and wipers fail at odd times. The dealer is to replace the multifunction switch tomorrow.

It's about a $50 item and takes about 10 minutes at the most to replace it. (althought the instructions in the service manual say you have to pull the airbag, wheel, etc. -- It can be done w/out all that)

I've had mine apart and you *might* be able to figure out whats up with it. Look up my posts for BOMBed multifunction switch and there are pictures of the internals and instructions for streamlined removal.

I have enjoyed my hi and low beams on together since my work on it.
