Adding a pressure box is an old way of adding power. GDE claims to be the maximum safe increase while staying within factory safety parameters. The limiting factor for power is the factory turbocharger. Vern Diesel on some forums transports RVs with his ED. He has a ton of miles and a GDE tune.
 
The EGR,Regen,SCR systems are designed to work together so if you disable the
EGR system the others will have to work harder plus it is illegal, All these systems are not good for the engine but are designed with it. Better to leave it as is unless you want CPU problems the rest of the time you have your truck

I can say for sure the DPF will benefit immensely with the EGR turned off. For example. regens will take place every 75-150 miles with the stock tune. Take the EGR out of the equation and you will go 800-1000 miles between regens. I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you say CPU problems.
 
I would go the GDE route ,even have another engine computer for them to reprogram so I can keep my original stock .Problem is ,I live in Commiefornia and they wont deal with any sales to this state .I need to find some one to receive it from out of this state and then forward to me .

That won't work as they go by Vin number which shows where it is registered. I was fortunate to get mine tuned before the CAlifunny EPA denied them. I have talked to GDE and when the EPA settles with FCA and all is clear they (GDE) will reapply for a Califunny license/permit. Hopefully, that will happen as I also want the GDE transmission tune.
