Used Turtle Wax Ice for the first time today on my '03. It is a "synthetic polish. " The only thing I didn't like about it was it didn't remove all of the hard water spots from when I washed it earlier in the day (I don't spot free rinse usually if I am going to wax it when I get home). So, either the water was extremely hard, or "synthetic polish" won't remove hard water spots. Maybe a combo of the two. By the way, my truck is Graphite in color. On the plus side, it is quick and very easy to use. The best part is you don't have to be careful around all of your black plastic trim. Matter of fact the product suggests you use it on the black plastic trim! So, I did. Looks great! All the trim is a deeper black with a low shine. The trim and mirrors were a little faded before. I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up after a few washes now. If it lasts awhile, I will be extremely happy.

TWalley,

If possible, post back after a few washes. I'll be interested to hear how it turns out (my truck is the same color).

I have this stuff and used twice. Upon further review, it is just ok. No way is it any better then Mothers or Maguires carnuba wax and cleaner.

If you need a quick shine, this is where ICE works. You can alos apply to plastic, it shines that up as well. Not sure if it protects that great from UV, maybe some wax expert can chime in.

I tried the "ice" right after it came out, and was very disappointed with it. Since I use regular Turtle wax, I thought this would be pretty good. The stuff seamed like it never dried, would "smear", and I had a hard time getting it off. It didn't seem to last any longer then the regular Turtle wax. Now the bottle sits on the bottom shelf with all of the other "wonderful" waxes...

hehehe... this is good to know. I am partial to Meguiars wax myself, but as with all marketing hype I was suckered in for a short period (sounded too easy).

Thanks for the response.

I have a bottle of Ice and even a bottle of Meguires... the best I have found for detailing spray is Lucas Slick Mist. I used to wax my truck twice a month. I have only waxed my 06 twice since I bought it, thanks to Slick Mist.

Spray it on while the truck is wet and dry it toa shine, or use as a detail spray. Works better than any of the others. hands down. Leaves a smooth as glass shine.

How does this wax do against the black plastic trim? Sounds like pretty good stuff.

Just finished using Ice liquid clay bar and then a coat of Ice liquid wax, it was very easy and the truck looks supe clean. Took about 2 hours from starting washing to finish. I do not have much free time so not having to worry about getting it on the plastic trim makes it go faster, in fact it made all the plastic trim look new again. We will see how it holds up, I am impressed so far.
