Round 4 of DHRA/LACR July 16

Sat. night, June 18,2005, Tucson Raceway Park, racing starts at 7:00PM.

The "World Famous Trailer Race of Destruction" is being held, tonight, along with NASCAR Late Models, Grand American Modifieds, Factory Stocks (40 Laps), Hornets & Tuff Trucks.

Gates open at 5:00PM, racing starts at 7:00PM. Plan on arriving between 6-6:30PM.

Adult admission is $10. 00. They have food and beverages available.

Take I-10 to Exit #273 or 275 & go south to the track. That would be Rita Rd. or Houghton Rd. exits.

I went last year, & it was a lot of fun. They are supposed to have about 10 trailers to demolish. Apparently, it doesn't take much to entertain me!!!

I know this isn't a diesel event but, they are supposed to have truck races, also (Tuff Trux).

Just thought I'd let you know.

BTW, their website is Tucson Raceway Park.com.

I saw an event like this on TV recently and it looked like a lot of fun. I think it was for the Florida championship. It makes you want to go out an buy a beater, hook a trailor to it and to racin'

RonsRig.

That race was a great time!!! Funnier than hell!!!

It's a bit of a drive down there but, well worth it. Nice race track. The trailer races were great. Many of the trailers had the "house" completely knocked off the frames. Guys would "T-Bone" the trailer and drive right over the frame, through the house part. One guy hit a house that had been knocked off the frame and got stuck inside the house. It was like he had parked in a garage. Had to back out of it.

The next special event will be Sat. July 23, '05, Motor Home Jump "World Record Attempt".

In August, Sat. the 27th, they will have Figure 8 Trailer Race.

In September, Sat. the 24th, they will have a "Schoolbus Destruction Derby".

They have some unique entertainment in Tucson!

The figure 8 race should really be fun to watch. Marked it on my calender. Thanks for the update Buffalo. I live in Tucson and never see the tracks advertise anything around here.

AZPETE,

Yeah, but I had to drive over 300 miles to see trailer races.

They're right in your back yard.

That's a really nice track, though, & the races were worth the long drive.

I might have to tell some of my neighbors about the next race. There's afew trailers in the neighborhood that sould be in the next race. :-laf
