What is the benefit of a sprung clutch disc hub vs. a solid one when it comes to twin disc clutches?

The springs absorb the pressure spikes from the power impulses coming from the engine. They remove much of the harshness and vibration from the drivetrain and protect the downstream components (transmission, transfer case, differential) from the torsional vibrations created by the engine.
