What air filter screams the loudest?

How does Water Injection work?

I'm interested in fabbing up a twin turbo system this winter... What is the most cost effective(cheapest) way to go about this? I'd like some detailed information on the setup. I did a search for twin turbo, and didn't get the results I was looking for on the forum.

Which turbo should I ad to my system? I have the capability to do the work, but I'm a little ignorant on the concept/setup.

Chris

I am doing the same thing over the winter... I am going to use an HX-40 and a HT3B with a full 5" exhaust.

As I come up with info and plans I'll keep in touch thru PM's ;)

Thanks that would be great!!

I was kind of hoping that I could use my stock turbo in this setup... . apparently this ins't possible??

Yes you can. People commonly use the HX35 with an HT3B for an inexspensive compound turbo setup.

I need some help in understanding how the turbos are routed.

Can I keep the original HX35 in the stock position? Would then the charge from the 1st turbo, plumb to the 2nd turbos intake?

I can use Aluminum tubing for this correct? I saw mention of Schedule piping, and Exhaust type piping, but I don't understand why I would need Schedule type piping... . exhaust type at worst case seems to me... .

Also where can I get the best price on a HT3B turbo?

Chris

Contact Paul at www.htturbo.com (htturbo@softcom.net). I was quoted a significantly lower price for an HT3B with 23cm housing than the "outright" price shown at the site in the post above.

Still researching,

Maybe that this will help... . I just last night finished helping a buddy install them. Top is a B1 bottom is a B2.

694 hp with a stock 114K mile turbo, does that answer your question.

Jim

Jim, is your truck back together yet? Have not seen you much on the boards here, so figured you're busy working on the beast!!

Nope not yet... . Two things are happening, one is I'm doing some censored adjustments making the whole thing a bunch better, the idea is to make lots of power and have it really driveable, once I get there I'll be off to vacation going to Canada for a week or so via some stops on the way and I've been in Florida training this week.

Plan is to be at Piers's for the dyno even then spend some time with DTT then back home in time for the LSTDR Rally in Kerrville.

Don't really mind the down time but I miss driving the truck... ... need power!

Did you guys fab up all the plumbing yourselves or? Looks sweet and I am sure it runs sweeter. Wish I had that setup.

I did very little tuning today but did get to make 3 pulls, numbers are 678 HP and T/Q went off the chart (1200) at 2550 RPM and those are uncorrected numbers, temp outside was about 75, baro normal and humidity 50% or so at 1300 ft here in OKC... I just don't think I will ever get anymore out of that stock 35 on top:p
