Twin Turbos

This is my daily driver-

#ad

I've seen some turbo systems that didn't work well on the street due to the nasty lag.

Email me if you are interested in more info.

I was thinking.....

Maybe we can find a use for all those HY35's that have been S***canned in favor of an HX35 or HX40.

Would it make sense to try twin HY35 turbos. Would it reduce EGT's and give you quicker spoolup?

Just adding fuel (Diesel) to the fire?;)

Thats exactly what I'm talking about boys, Tell me why a hp junkie new to this diesel thing would look for anythiny less ??? No matter what I'll be there, might as well do it now. Thanks in advance Next step please... ... ... ..... ______________Proflow

I'm currently installing what I consider to be the ultimate for twins.

dual wastegated and adjustable from 48psi to around 100psi. I'll let you know how it works in the next week or so. Should be interesting.

I also need you guys to keep in mind my truck is used daily, and I pull a 8000+lb trailer. I am not an advocate for lag... period. It must work properly according to me. I am not easy to please and driveability is a must.

I already have the "ultimate" or compairabley one of the best single turbos and will put it up against anyones. This twin setup will not be cheap, maybe even more than the Mitchels but it will work for everyone that wants more than any single turbo can muster. And Different that the other twins out there because it will be fully adjustable like I said from 50 to 100 psi in normal 1200 to 3500 rpm ranges.

Not be "reading between the lines" but, is it possible (with your setup)to be producing 50 PSI at 1,200 RPM ?

That would be too cool.

100PSI would be just

What a sight it would be to see a 0-100PSI boost gauge get pegged out !! Especially if it was on my own truck, LOL.

TIA for the info,

I kinda wonder what a site the intercooler will be at 100 psi. something tells me it will explode at that psi, maybe im wrong. The tremendous cylinder pressure would kill the head gasket, even with low compression, kiss those EGT problems goodbye at 100 psi.

.

Head Gasket Ain't Gonna Hang

Holy Cow, 50 psi @ 1200 rpm!?? You guys are demanding:)

Bingo on the head gasket needing to be replaced.

I just put a deposit on a tool to cut the groove for an O-ring on the deck surface. I intend to do this with the engine in the frame. I may make the tool available to be shipped to those in need of a head gasket upgrade. A modest rental charge would be appropriate to help me recover part of the cost of the O-ring tool.

HVAC & MY6EATSV8's--you guys sure know how to make a fellow west coaster drool ---be interesting to see how both these systems work once all the kinks are worked out---guess I'll be needed that O-ring tool soon----chris

Proflow,

One of the most poweful Dodge twins out there is Lorretta Mitchell's. It is a grocery getter/trailer toter, she could give you a good idea what it drives/tows like.

From what I have heard, it is a win-win situation.

Thanks , MGM, this is really the lead I'm looking for. Didn't mean to start a war here. I know all is well & appreciate any advice I can get here. Thanks ----Proflow

Chris. . sounds like just what a 01. 5 needs also . . they can't take a whole lot in stock form... guess someone in the hill's might be in line for some block cutt'in also... then a couple forms of gas might be in order:D

Nowel might I suggets you keep the tool under your control, wouldn't want to see an oooops happen to someone who hasn't got the ability. damn pricey tool to "rent" out IMHO
