Looking for commercial insurance in NJ...

Need Cedar Chest Hauled from Phx

I just committed to PDR twins and I tow mostly. Just want "cool" 45ish lbs. of boost. I do have a PDR cam and DD2s with a PM3 comp and EZ. Going to change my 4" exhaust to 5". Been working with Harry @ PDR, decided to go with HX35/12 and HT3B/23,anybody got any experience with this sort of set up?I'm mostly concerned with quick spool up and driveabilty rather than all out performance,(drag racing). I have the DTT treatment to my transmission and 4:10 gears in my dually. Anybody? Thanks Dave.

Dave, I have the PDR twins with the hx40/16 on and 3b/26 on bottom. I think you made a good choice with the 35/12 and 23 housing on the bottom. My twins do not like anything smaller than DD supermental injectors, even those are too small to really bring the twins alive. My twins perform much better with the huge Bully dogs in the truck. So your reduced fueling should be good match to the twins you bought. Good luck with them. i think you'll be seeing closer to 50psi of boost with them easliy. Towing with my twins,I actually preffer the B1 single in most cases. The b1 towed great with dd supermentals and the comp box off. I could get 39 psi with it,and EGTS never got outo f hand. With my 34ft TT I could tow with no box and keep 75 on every hill i ever came upon. The twins do not perform as well,IMo UNTIL you give them more fuel. With the box off im lucky to see 30psi withthe same injectors. Turn it on the higher levels and its fine. Your twins should do better being smaller than mine though. I hope this helped a little

Snow man, thanks for the reply. After I spoke with Bill @ DTT yesterday,I was thinking maybe I shouldn't do the twins. But,what the heck,I'm gonna try em!I'm hoping to keep the stock head gasket for awhile. After the short block replacement and up grades a few weeks ago, can't afford much more.

When you removed your heat exchanger, did you install another trans cooler? I was thinking about mounting a cooler with a fan,(B&M Hi-Tek),under the cab next to my Holley pump. I was watching my transmission oil temps this morning,I don't think I'd even need the cooler untill times during the summer.

I hope while towing, I can keep a fairly constant boost level or steady at least. Just don't want say 10 psi, then all of a sudden 40psi or more. I'd like to see the big turbo come on slowly,do you think this is the way It'll work with my combo?I know I'll have to play with the settings on my "boxes" to achieve what I'm going to be looking for. That towing combo is spunkie, I ran a 35/18. 5 and a HT3B/26 and it was fine but that towing combo is suppose to be an instant spool setup..... you'll love it as it been proven not just built.

Jim

P. S. Don't listen to Bill he thinks were all crazy:p

What about using the HY-35/9 and the BHT3B/? I would like to use the HY because I already have it and I love the quick boost it provides.

Also how do you tune the twins?
