E-Brake and EGT's

New product release from South Bend Cluch

After what seemed like an eternity I have my truck back. A Very Special Thanks goes out to Enterprise Engine and also Kurt Yardley. EE o-ringed the block, cam install, EE custom fuel system, HUGE injectors, and last but not least TWINS:D . They are based on Kurt's B-1 ( standard housing ) and a new B-2 which should be an HT3B killer. Right now we are just starting testing but performance is awesome:--) . EGT's are well in check, how about 975 @ 50psi and 1150 @ 65psi all with BD7's. Also being used is Kurt's new billet wastegate. Spool-up is best described as instant and brutal with no lag. The bd7's are completely street-able with virtually no smoke on the bottom and none after initial takeoff. I 'll do my best to answer questions but we are just starting to fine tune everything so some things will change. Hope to see everyone in Muncie.

Fred,

How are things going? I guess you needed more than that little old B1 eh. :D I will be visiting Enterprise this winter to add a little power and bullet proof my transmission. See Ya, Ken

Congratulations!!!

Once you've twinned you'll never go back:D:D

Does the waste gate look like this????

I've seen it before ... . http://www.texasdieselworks.com/Compounds.htm ;) :)

I heard from the supplier that EE was buying them, This will be the first set I've 'seen' on the street.

It's a mean little gate. first rate piece of gear.

Got any pics??? I wanna see the new turbos from Kurt. He told me they were being built. I just didn't know who was getting them.

Bummer!... . Next year I plan on hitting several of the Truck events though... . I will try you cell tomorrow. . L8tr kurt

I'm a little curious too. A set of twins is in my near future. As to what the best combination for my application is... only time will tell.

Seems to me... so far... the old tried and true HT3B is still a top contender for a primary turbo. Possibly the PDR40 on the top. That would be nice for me because I already have the PDR40...

Andy Sebek's numbers impressed the heck out of me at Muncie... :--)

The HT3B with a PDR 40 on top in my opinion is the best out there yet, moves lots of air over a 35 on top and is twice as drivable as say mine! Granted a PDR 35 on top of my setup would be nice but I'm past that point in the need for air!

I Don't and Won't get into which is the better small turbo. :p:p :rolleyes: :D:D

But I bet soon the B-2 will be the new preferred Big Turbo in the twin setups. . It will outflow and outspool the HT3B's and is a stronger and better built turbo. I expect that the B-2's compressor gives cooler charged air at the same if not higher boost levels. That means more HP, Less smoke and lower egt's!

R&D in the real world will show what's the best pick.

IHIDHTEMW's Kurt :D

Maybe so but for me the price and performance of the HT3B will be hard to beat. If the pricing of your new B-2 is similar to your B-1 the B-2 will cost about 4-5 times as much as an HT3B. That defiantely comes in to play for someone like myself. Just MHO. :)

HT3B's are fine for toughness and they are cheap, but they do need the modifications like mine has, makes the spool like mad and holds that boost, but the air is hot (I R&D'd it) Like Kurt said there are better turbo's out there like and HX-60 and now his B-2, most of us (my self included) start with the cheaper versions then later graduate to a better version, that is now my goal..... air temp.

More before and after testing is coming in the near future!

Amazing how far we have come in such a short time. For me I can't afford to keep making changes so I'll have to sit back and see how it all pans out.

Kurt... good luck with the B-2... I will be keeping an eye on your progress.
