Electrical Problem

I just got the good news. It is up and running. I will not get a chance to drive it untill tomorrow morning, but from what my mechaninc tells me it runs GOOD. He did encounter a little problem though. He blew the intercooler boot off twice he said it blew at about 60#'s of boost. So he welded a different ring on it and used the hairspray trick. He also told me he never saw the pyro go over 1000*. So first thing in the morning I am going to go and get it. I am so excited that I am chomping at the bit. Heck I will probably beat him to the shop in the morning. I will keep everyone posted. It been a very long wait. I guess Christmas did come a little early this year. Oo. Oo.



Oh yeah I forgot to add we used a Piers HX40/16 HT3B/26 I guess I will have to update my sig.

Are you going to Dyno down here in Rohnert Park on the 15th? Would be a good place to see what you have. Let us know what the seat of the pants feel is after you drive it. Next time I'm up there you gotta take me for a ride so I can see what it does.

I went down there this morning to take it for a drive. I had numerous 0-100mph runs and all I can say is wow. It takes off just as quick as my 40 did as a single. Once it hits 10# of boost it slams the needle on my 50# gauge. I dont have my 80# gauge in yet so we were using a gauge that Ponci had. We have the total boost set up for 60#'s on #2 and it hits 63#'s with the water/meth on. The bottom charger is building 32#'s of boost. My max temps were 1100* WFO. That is down from 1400*+. Back in the day with my H1C/12 housing I saw 1800* pretty regular.



I made 340hp/790tq with my H1C/12 housing. With my Piers HX40/16 I made 419hp/1000tq on #2. Does anyone want to guess what I will make with my twins? SOP feels like a good 500/?. I guess we will have to find out when I dyno next month. Well right now I am stuck at work dreaming about driving my over turboed pickup. I guess I had better get to changing my sig. I need more room to fit everything in.



I would like to thank the Brad Ponci from Ponci's Diesel Center. He did an outstanding job. I also got some help from Piers Diesel Research, and another individual that I wont mention at the moment, but I think you know who you are thank you. This is going to be one interesting year.

KTA once said he didn't gain a whole lot after the B1 to the twins, but did gain from the major reduction in egt's. Can't wait for myself to hit 300hp lol. I need a 40 :D.

I have had my pickup back for 28 hours and I allready wrecked it

Yup got in an accident today with a mommy van. It was a younger gal driving and she didnt have her kid with her. No one was hurt except my baby. Put scratches all down the side and put a nice dent in the box and also broke the tail light. :{ :{ Yeah I know I did get Pastor Bobs junk yard dawg award, but it didnt look that bad. Well at least it wasnt my fault and she had insurance and admitted it was her fault.



I was coming down a hill to a stop light when I heard the noise and felt my pickup move. She decided that she wanted to be in the left lane and hit me instead. I guess I will have to wait untill Monday to see what her insurance is going to do about it. This is really a bummer. :{ :{



Well my old pickup did fend for it self. Tore her bumper off took out the light front fender and the drivers door. When I got out and saw that her light was hanging on the ground I unpluged it and handed it to her so we could get out of traffic. I also tied her bumper on before I left.



Hey it still runs good and yes Fulmer when I hit the water/meth switch it sure does fly. :D :D

How's your baby. Are you going to have her fixed before the 15th?



Quality Body Works does excellent work when you start looking to get it fixed.

If not, my dad is a t. v. repair man, he's got some tools. We could fix it. :-laf
