FASS filter replacement idea

I would like to know the best way to remove the plug covering the second oil drain hole in a 2002 block. Also I was told that a bracket was needed to help hold up the bottom turbo. In the Pdr kit I see a piece of of 1/4" hrs flat with two holes drilled in it and another piece of 1/4 x 1 hrs with angles on the ends. Is that what is used for the bracket or do I need to fab up something.

Thank you.

Use something really sharp to puch thru it

Use a quick blow with a hammer so as to not knock it thru into the pan. Then thread a tapered slide hammer bit into it and slide hammer it out. I fabricated my own bracket and bolted it to a bell housing bolt it supports the flange of the big turbo. Merv

You can also fab a support plate off of the back of the block. There is two threaded holes right below the deck surface of the block.

That doesn't sound too bad. I've never seen what twins look like from underneath. Just one quick look from the top. I didn't think I would have to put them on this truck. Brad, I see you are running a very small exhaust housing. Is that something you made yourself?

It is a modified 12cm housing with a hx40 cartrige. My main goal is very quick spool and good bottom end power. Up here where i live there is alot of hills and when you run 35'' with 3:55 gears you really miss the bottom end power with a larger housing. I don't run my truck over 3400 rpms very often. My main rpms are from idle to 2700.
