I removed my Hy-35 and installed an HX-50. OK everything is fine except my ability to tow anything. My question is would the Hy-35 and the Hx-50 be compatible for a twin set-up. Thanks in advance for any info.

With your injectors I don't know why you have a hx50. You don't really have enough fuel to make it work. I have never seen or heard of twins using a 50 most are 35/35 or 35/40's. :cool:

I am kinda new to this and I am stumbling along,but I have been asking a lot of questions Bill. The Hx-50 was reccomended by a couple of reputable people that are in the turbo bussiness. I believe the HX-50 is kinda new to Drag racing and I havent got to do a lot of testing myself. I do have a special set-up that I believe will turn the Hx-50, at least I have been told it will. We will see at the track Take care Kirk.

P. S: I have been advised that the HY-35 is not big enough for anything but a paper weight. :{

twins

the 35 would be good as the small turbo for the twins setup, but I don't know about the 50. But, it seems to me that it would worth a try since you already have it. :D

the HY35/HX50 combo "may work"... the HX35/HX35, or HX35/HX40 combos are way too restrictive and the turbos are too close in size and very little turbo compounding takes place.

I agree with what Diesel Freak pointed out. One combo often "kicked around" by bench-racers for daily driving is an Hy35, and an H2e, and an HX50 is somewhat close to an H2e. if you have got the spare time, and money, why the heck not. :D
