would there be any advantage to running a smaller turbo before an hx40 to really up the spool or is that a lame idea because of restiction? if the bottom takes in the cold air and all? just letting the brain learn before testing

I've seen four turbos on a Cat 3512, but it wasn't four turbos in series, it was two turbos in series per bank. Triple turbo, I'd like to see that.

Cooker there was talk about a dodge with triples, pulling in Leslie a couple weekends ago. Unfortunately i ddin't get to go, but my bro and father was there. The announcer and folks talking the stands about the truck with triples.

Curtis

BTW the truck pulled very well.

But Would It Work

OR WOULD A TURBO THAT SMALL IN THE SERIES BE TOO SMALL? TOO RESTRICTIVE ? I GOT THE HTB3 TODAY AND HOLY SMOKES ITS HUGE :-laf ANYWAYS IF IM GONNA ORING AND DO STUDS AND INTERCOOLER BOOTS AND WHAT NOT I WANNA BE ABLE TO REALLYDO SOMETHIN COOL.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT TURBOS THEY ARE RUNNIN? ON A TRIO SETUP?

THINKIN LIKE A 600 CFM 900 CFM AND 1,100 CFM TURBO

Absolutely, that would probably require more fab and engineering than it would be worth.

The problem I would see is after all the restrictions a lot of the exhaust heat would be gone, and if the biggest turbo was last or even second to get exhaust flow, there would still be the volume of exhaust gas, but there would be not enough heat to really get it spinning.

Oh well, I still want to see it.

Check out the thread about PIERs and the blower on the 5. 9 in the comp forum.

The idea was to use a roots type blower to light off some MASSIVE twins. The made it work to some extent.

saw it

friend of mine has a blower and we had talked about doing that but nixed the idea as dangerous to a 7,000 dollar engine
