can some one who has twins installed give me some info, I am gonna purchase an 05 in November and I am getting some info on some mods. The guys here at TDR have turned me onto Twins. My truck will be an every day driver. I want the power, I need the power. I am trying to be grown up about this, is it good to run twins if you race every once in awhile, maybe to smoke a chevy or a ford, I tow more than I race. I dont tow all the time though and usually it is not that heavy 5k to 10K. Can you give me some insight on how yours performs when you tow, drive around town, how are the egts and mpgs, is it worth it? Thanks any advice info, critcism gladly accepted.

I don't have twins, but I've been giving it some thought lately. If you just want some decent power to play with and tow, then a large single may be a better choice. Twins can get expensive on their own not including the head work needed if you get the boost up around 50 lbs. or more. I don't tow with my truck at all and I don't really race (but that might change if I had the power), but I would still like twins.

BTW, keep an eye out in the events section for a DFW area chapter meeting.

You sound ALOT like me when i first got on here... Heres the main question... Are you going to dump about 8 - 12 k $$$$$ maybe more i cant imagine it costing less w/out a transmission built to handle it + motor work + components + labor... .

Hell, I dont even have a truck yet! I am deciding what I want to do with it when I get it, I have a little money to play with so that is not the issue. The issue is for an everyday driver, towing a horse trailer and a gooseneck, are the twins gonna give me problems down the road or are they efficient enough that I could only benefit from their installation? I know two is more expensive then one but they dont work as hard. I just dont have enough time with diesels to a strong decision right now that is where yall come in, the people with the twins, I would like to know your opinion.
