Competition Pulling a 2wd dually?

Competition Stock tappets with billet cam

I am building a set twin. i not if i can use my HTB2 on top and get a HTB3 for the bottom or will i have to get a different top charger like 35 35/40 . Can i use the HTB3 with the HTB2 Will i have to find different bottom charger. I still want good spool up also want the egt down.

I also thought of just upgrading my HTB2 to the 66 sled puller. that will be better all around.

Spools fast. Dyno gains were 75 HP on the same truck. The only change to the engine was the addtion of the HT3B. The truck had dynoed 487 with the HTB2 as a single. Last run was 562 with the twins

Sounds like it needs more fuel! How much did the EGT's drop at WOT!

Needs a lot more fuel. :D He dynoed with a set of 100 hp injectors and an old version bully dog torque dog box. The TQ dog box was only a 90 HP box. We are going to be redynoing it shortly with a TST. Should be sround 600 HP. EGT's are down around 1250 degrees on a WOT run. Truck used to run around 1550 with the single.

Imills,

what kind of egt's are you seeing with your piers twins on the street cranked up? do u tow with them at all? how is spool up? just wondering how the twins effected your mileage when ur not in it? thanks for the info

Crusing EGT's are around 6-700 degrees. WOT runs to 100 I can hit 1250 degrees pretty quick. However I have the auto defuel set at 1350 and it rarely ever hits that. And as for towing, I typically tow around the 500-550 HP level and have no EGT issues while climbing the mountains unless I swat the throttle to the mat to pass someone. Otherwise I can roll up the mountains pulling 10K behind me doing 75 MPH and have 800 EGT's
