I bought an 02 Ram 2500 last month, I was going over what I wanted to do with it. I always wanted twins but dont know if it is the right way to go. I still want to use it as an every day driver but I also like to ocassionaly like to race. I was looking into the towing twins from piers but then again the street strip twins look good also. I need guidance, I want to know if any one has either of these setups and can help me make a decision between the two?I would like to have around 500hp, why, hell I dont know it just seem like a good number at the time, but I would also like to leave room for expansion. My wife wants me to see a phsychiatrist but I told her I would check here first, thanks

the right kind of help

I don't think the shrink would know enough about your truck to help you any. This is the right place to get the kind of help that you need. :-laf :-laf :-laf

I need to do something, I cant decide, there are just so many configurations. I need some feed back here, anyone in the same situation or have any recommendations companies, people they have used. I have talked to piers and massdiesel who have given me some good information. Is there help for me?

I am gonna go out on a limb here, and anybody feel free to corret me.

If you wanting race occasionally then I wouldn't go with the towing twins. My *extrememly little* understanding of twins makes me think that that set of chargers is going to be all low-to-mid range power for pulling heavy loads while keeping EGT's in check.

The street & strip twins are probably a bigger set of turbos, and have more top end power that's required for racing.

If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

Actually, the towing set of twins has the bigger chargers for mid range and top end heat control. Bigger exhaust housings anyway.

A sporty street, drag racing set of compounds will have a bit smaller set of exhaust housings, for quick spool up light to light and between transmission shifts.

Top end twins are two hybrids mated together and tuned to do whatever the task at hand is.

Kent Crowder gave me a treat and let me see under the hood of his puller. The SMALL charger (the secondary?) was the size of a BHT3B!

The primary was huge. Looked like a jet engine stuffed in there. The turbo that ate Pittsburgh. :--)
