I am installing two thermocouples and would like to run them thru a DPDT on/on switch to the gauge. I would be able to toggle between front three cylinders and back three cylinders. This seems like it should work. Anybody see this any differently.

I have thought about something similar, except I want pre and post turbo probes. I have been told it can be done just like you described, but have not gotten brave enough to try it yet.

Yes, it works. I am set up pre and post turbo. It works great for knowing that the turbo is cool enoughtto shut down. Used a tiny toggle on the A pillar.

Why are you splitting the manifold with the probes?

The new exhaust header I bought has two plenums going to the turbo (I suppose they all do). I have traditionally installed the thermocouple in the rear plenum (cylinders 4-6) because of the presumption that the back cylinders run hotter then the front three. This time I will be able to see if there is a difference between the front and rear. I suppose it would be better to install a Westach duel EGT temp gauge but I don't feel like going to the trouble and expense of buying a separate boost gauge and finding a new home for it. Another option I have considered for two locations is both preturbo; one at an exhaust port flange and the other at the turbo flange.
