I've got an ISSPRO Exhaust Gauge on it's way for the '06 that is also on it's way. I'm planning on adding the TST PMCR also. Both need a thermocouple (pyrometer) installed. Can one pyro feed both the gauge and the TST box or is the installation of BOTH pyrometers necessary? Drilling ONE hole in my manifold is scary enough!

Two thermocouples one gauge

JTryles,

I asked this very question not too long ago. The general consensus, is that there are dual thermocouples available, (one that can support two gauges, but only one hole). My suggestion would be to try hooking up both and see what happens, it may work just fine. Just my . 02.

I have my TST PM3 and a DiPricol EGT gauge both hooked to the same thermocouple. What I was instructed to do was to use two seperate sets of lead wires from the gauges to the thermocouple - don't run leads to the first gauge and then something from that gauge to the 2nd gauge. I tested mine with each individually and both together and they read accurately.

Which pyro did you use? The one that came with the DiPricol or the TST box? I just got my Isspro gauges from DieselManor and it seems the pyro they ship is very high quality, not sure what TST uses.

I used the DiPricol thermocouple - I bought it from TST a couple years before I bought the pm3. I would guess they sell the same thermocouple for both.

Are most of these thermocouples about the same? I got mine with the Edge Juice and also wanted the actual guage to complete my guages but I also need it for the Attitude and wondered if it would be OK to do that also. And also that way if I pull out my Edge to take it in for service I don't have a thermocouple sitting there not hooked to anything to explain.
