The first two months are gone and the truck is up to almost 22,000 miles. No problems, have had the recall reflash done, I think they call it a co2 recall. It seems to have detuned the truck a little, had them recheck it and they said it was right. My mileage is running 15 - 16. 5 flatbed (loaded and empty) and 9 to 11 pulling the gooseneck. Went across DOT weigh station scales this afternoon grossing 29,760. Reset my mileage cal. before coming back and showed 9. 8 mpg. Went through some hills. I am happy with the brakes, handling and ride of this truck but am disappointed with the performance. My 95 would run off and leave this truck, and it was an automatic. (DTT) I did have it enhanced a bit but it didn't have 300+ horsepower, and it had 3. 55 gears. To me, it doesn't seem like the turbo is doing what it should. Overall, I'm happy with the truck, guess I'll get a few more miles on it and "enhance" this one a bit. Any suggestions for which box would be best for some mild power increases? Understand I make my living with it and don't want to blow it up. The performance is fine until fifth and sixth gear, and the cruse control won't hold it like my old truck would. Now that I think of it, it runs like my 95 did before I put in the plate and boost elbow. Anyway, the first two months are gone and for the most part, everything is fine. See how the next month goes.

i find the same thing 5th and 6th gear the power really falls off. However my truck really likes 4th gear and will put you in the seat. but as soon as you go to 5 its like what happen? 1 and 2 pull almost to hard it seems like s/m is going to break:) you are right these turbos seem to start to spool slowly and when they start they seem to spool to quickly.

an edge box will give you what you are looking for without compromising longevity. put a turbo and injectors and sbc and this truck will scare you

You will really like an Edge EZ. I pulled a backhoe home from San Francisco, Ca to Palm Springs, CA. It ran 65 MPH no problem except for the biggest of hills. Nice even power and EGT's are very hard to hit 1200*. It comes with a boost elbo and I see boost of 32-34 psi under a heavy load.

Far as I am concerned, the 12v's just flat out ruled when pulling with a plate in them: they have so much low end.
