Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to extend the remote start to leave the truck on for longer than 15 minutes in the programming? Even an extra 5 minutes would be better.

Second, I know it's been discussed before but haven't seen it in a while... But has anyone engineered a way to turn the exhaust brake back on after the truck is started each time. It's just kind of a PITA to remember to turn it on each time.

Thanks
Craig

So the engine shuts down after 15 minutes of idle when using the remote start?

Yes! I have started mine before at work and have it shutdown while walking out to it and just fire it up again with the fob..If its below freezing the heated seats and steering wheel are on plus mirror and rear window defrost. If its hot it will run air and turn on the cooled seats!

Somebody on site B said they dummied a seven pin plug end they left plugged in so the truck thought a trailer was hooked up all the time, which evidently turns the EB on at each start up.........apparently, though, it only works on a 2014, not a 2013......

You can remote start the truck twice, both for 15 minutes. After the second start, you have to be in the truck to start it a 3rd time. When cold enough, the exhaust brake will come on automatically to help warm the engine. There will be no indication on the dash, but you can hear it engage. You still have to engage the button to have the braking effect.
