DTT need help in Memphis

I'm trying to find the two speed axle switch for my gear shifter for my e-brake I'm about to get. I've searched and searched and searched without much luck... then I finally found a part # 7124DK for the 2-speed switch @ Napa.

Called and surprise surprise the #'s no good!

Does anybody know a new part # for this item? Or am I going to have to order it through a vendor like Piers or DIS and pay like $35 for it? I thought it could be had at local Napa auto parts stores for $15 or so:confused:

Can anyone help!

Get one from Piers....

Mark, suck it up and get one from Piers. With his you get a trick alum bracket to mount the switch on the stick and don't have to mickey mouse up your own bracket.

DO the deed

Yep order it from Piers or DIS. Besides if you get the one from NAPA it is actually wired for the two speed axel, meaning the loom has four wires in it. The switch from Piers and DIS have a loom made up with 2 wires and the stick shift holder. have fun !!

Don't have too..... the guy I'm buying the brake from saw my post and is including his two speed switch with my brake!Oo. Oo. Oo.

I have a Jacobs exhaust brake. Based upon a post from Dresslered some time ago, I purchased from Napa a two speed axle switch (p/n PP6490) and the wire harness for that switch (p/n EC-22). I made a bracket to hold the switch to my shifter, ran the wire harness down through the shifter boot and up into the dash where the original factory e-brake switch was located. On my Jacobs, I cut into the yellow wire on the factory switch plug. The axle switch wire harness has three wires. Use only the white and red wires. Cut and insulate the blue wire so it won't short your e-brake circuit out. It made a nice clean installation and works great. I'm sure that there are other sources of switches. Go with the one you'll think is best for you.

Try mounting the toggle switch in a holder and mount it on the front of the gear shift lever down about 3 inches below the shift knob. Works easier than a 2 speed switch and you already have it with the kit. I used thin wall plastic tube about 1" to 1 1/4" diameter and modified it with a heat gun to hold the switch. The switch is lighted when it is on and that is a good reminder. As I remember the harness has to be lenghtened a bit.
