Rusty Acres

I have been running 1 quart per fill-up of Wal-Mart's SuperTech 2-cycle oil for the last 5 tanks. After driving about 20 minutes on the first tank, my injector rattle started quieting down. Now it is almost non-existent.

If I have achieved an increase in mileage like some folks have claimed, it is minimal. I am going to continue using it.

Make sure it is TCW3 OR TWC3, not sure which is the correct order right off the top of my head, but you want to purchase "ashless".

I have been looking at different sites (DTR, Cumminsforum) both of these sites have a pretty good discussion about using 2 stroke oil for fuel lubrication. I did a search here and came up blank I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on this.

One memeber over on DTR stated that most ingredients of the "other" fuel additives was based on solvents and not oil for lubrication. Anyone Doing 2-Stroke Oil in 3rd Gen - Dodge Diesel - Diesel Truck Resource Forums

I have done found out real quick that the thoughts about 2-cycle are different on here than on the others for the most part for some reason. But some of the best reading on the subject is on the Cummins Diesel Forum.
