Been using WAL-MART Super Tech TCW-3 ashless 2 cycle oil for more than 3 years now, I have not improved my mileage 1 iota. My injector rattle however has been reduced significantly, in fact within the first 20 miles of first trying it, my injectors were noticably quieter.

I believe the biggest advantage is the extra lube the injection pump and injectors receive, by lack of lubrication in ULSD. The 6. 7 are designed for ULSD, our 5. 9's... .

As far as the argument that it is detrimental to our injectors, mine were sent to Formula 1 after about 2 yrs of 2 cycle oil use. Rip, from Source Automotive, told me that Don M claimed they were "creme puffs", as in "excellent" condition.

I add 16oz to each 1/2 tank at fill up, or about a quart per tank.

Same here, no increase in mileage. Injectors are quieter also.

I tried it for a while, only thing I noticed was that my exhaust soot was sticky and I think it was causing my exhaust brake to stick a little. . No more 2stroke no more sticky EB.

I started using TCW-3 2008 in July and when I went out to AZ & CA last NOV I put 6. 788 miles on a round trip my milage came up 1. 9 miles better than it did the year before. I also run HOWES DIESEL TREAT AT 1oz per gal jest like the TWC-3. I have used the Treat from day one.

I have been using the Walmart brand 2-Stroke TCW-3 oil for ~12K miles. I have seen no improvement in mileage. However, my rail pressures have leveled out (i. e. not as erratic as without oil) and injector noise is significantly reduced. Best thing about this additive is that its inexpensive. I have people all the time tell me about how great their Lucas, Force, Amsoil, PowerService, etc, etc is. I just smile and reply "2-Stroke Oil"; especially when they tell me their stuff is only $20 a bottle, or whatever it is.

Complete fillup of diesel, I add a quart. When I run jet fuel, I add a quart to every 5 gallons of jet fuel. Over kill? Yep. The most jet fuel i have had in the truck at once is around 20-25 gallons. That means 4-5 quarts of 2 stroke. Didn't smoke anymore than normal. I wish the bio stations were closer. My truck is happiest running B20.

Easy to remember? Your guess is as good as mine. I have also read where guys are running 200:1 in the 3rd gen.

I run 16 ounces per 22 gallons, because my aux tank is 22 gallons and my bottles are 16 ounces... no other reason.

The article I refed was using 200 to one and seen the mpg increase. Sounds like there is no harm? thanks, Doc

I also ran the Walmart brand 2 stroke oil in my truck, did it for a month or two but didn't notice any changes in mileage. I heard about Optilube and have been running it instead, their summer blend that is. It only requires 2oz per tank so, AH64ID, you wouldn't have to worry about your exhaust brake I think. I haven't noticed any mileage change with it either, but I don't have to use near as much. I drive an '04, so its nice to know that I have something lubricating everything since we all know this low sulphur fuel isn't :-laf. Here is the website where I get mine, they have other versions also for winter and one that does increase mileage and cetane.

They have a study at the bottom of the home page that compares some of the top fuel additives and also 2 stroke oil. 2 stroke oil ranks pretty high on the list, I just don't like having to put that much additive in at a time.
