Undercoating - worth the money?

I like the look of the two-tone, but alas, duallys are all one color. Two-tones to me make a truck look less like a "State Higway Dept. " truck.

Note on Sport

There is no ability for the snow plow prep package and pushguards / cow pushers are more difficult to find (real ones anyways).

I was informed that when an automaker paints a vehicle, it paints it all one color (grey), and then applies the main color. If it ever happens that you need a body part fixed, it's hell to get the colors to match. That played into my decision to get one color. That, and I had a red/white paint job on a '91 which I didn't like. Too complex, IMO.

I had the two tone on my '01. 5 and I didn't like the look of it. Glad the new duallies are one color only as I think it looks better. One nice thing about the two tone, though and that is that when (not if!) the rockers get all chipped up, its way easier to repaint the lower portion only.

I would have got two tone, if they had the gold color instead of that bright silver. Just didn't match with the timberline green, IMO. So I got single color and had my bumpers powder coated in the gold metallic. Will do the same with the fender flares. I will say that the silver matches well with the Patriot blue, however.
