Uconnect has suddenly stopped working. The mirror still has auto dimming but no response to the phone button or the voice command button. All the radio functions work including the Ipod adapter I installed when the truck was new.
I am aware that the actual Uconnect is a stand alone module that is connect to the radio by cables. I'll have to see if I can track it down.
I plan to pull the radio later today to see if a cable unplugged or something simple.
I'm wondering if this is a common thing.
It is the original RAQ radio which makes it 8 years old.
Any suggestions, preferably pertinent would be greatly appreciated.

Well, since I posted this issue I did some poking around online and found a number of things to try. I never found anything specific to my truck but someone with a Charger had the same issue.I tracked down the Bluetooth module which is situated above and to the right of the heater box on the right side panel of the dash, clearly visible with a hand mirror and a minor contortion. It has the Bluetooth logo printed on the label. I disconnected the plug and left it for approximately 15 minutes. I reconnected and then tested the Uconnect button and was elated to discover I had a successful repair. A bit like shutting down a cranky computer I suppose.
So if you encounter the same issue, you might do well to consider the procedure just outlined.

Glad that you got your problem figured out!!!

FYI--I'd imagine that you might well achieve the same results without the contortions by simply disconnecting both battery grounds for about 15 minutes…this will have the effect of forcing any and all modules, including the BT module, in your truck into a "hard reset", thus restoring factory parameters.

Of course you might well lose any custom settings, including radio stations, if you do it this way.

I'm glad as well, I wasn't looking forward to spending time and money at the dealer to have them scan the system.
I thought about disconnecting the batteries but with all the stuff I would have to set up again, I decided against it. The two way gear is a bit difficult to set up and the dash cam doesn't like hard resets either.
Plus I wanted to see if I could get to the source of the trouble, but that's just me.
