I have U-Connect (bluetooth phone feature) in my truck. For a number of months it has worked sporadically. It will hook to my phone and stay connected for an entire ride. If I stop and turn the truck off and then come back, it may work again or it may not, and there is nothing I can do to make it work. Next time I leave the truck and come back, it may be fine or maybe not. I have a few phones, so when it fails with one I will try the other to see if maybe it is the phone. It is not the phones, definitely the truck. Now for the last 4 days it has totally stopped working. Tried to talk with the dealer about it but the guy just stared at me as I described the problem. He acted like it was my fault for having U-Connect in the first place. It is very cool when it is working and also very safe. I bought a bluetooth ear piece since this has been so unreliable but would really like to fix the problem with the truck. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! Joe:confused:

I had the same problem with my Blackberry. I would have the bluetooth on on the phone and it wouldn't pair with the UConnect reliably. I would have to turn the bluetooth off on the phone and then back on and it would pair up.

I have since switched to an iPhone and I haven't had the problem since. For me it seemed to be the phone. Is there anyone else you can try to pair their cell phone with your truck?

I have the same system in a Jeep... and when I push the button on mirror to do the basic set up nothing seems to happen... . I don't know if I've not got something right or the right conditions met set it up... . My next step is the dealer...

Mine wont always connect to my phone either. Usually if I try to make a call from the phone the U-Connect will show up or if I press the U-Connect buttom on the mirror. I don't use my phone in the truck very often so I really don't know how often this actually occurs.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback. Spooled-Up I have a Blackberry as well so I tried what you said about turning bluetooth off and back on. It has worked approx. 1/2 the time that way. Maybe it is a Blackberry thing or something. I'll have to try my wife's non Blackberry phone. In the set-up attempt in the Jeep (this is probably a stupid question, if so sorry) do you have the pnone's bluetooth turned on so the phone can find the U-Connect? Thanks again everyone.

Joe

you guys know the blackberry has to be set to allow the u-connect in the BT security settings on the phone right? Otherwise, you have to pair it manually every time...

My Blackberry Curve works first time, everytime with my U Connect. Never had a problem so it is not a "Blackberry" problem per say.
