Ok truck is in the shop, U-joints bad. They want the deductable for the 7/70, truck has 45k on it.

I told them alot of dealers are waiving the $100, He said he can't do it.

My question is, Are the dealers that are waiving the fee doing so on their own or has DC instructed them to?

I also asked if the shudder I feel at take off could have caused this, He said it is only the 2-piece shaft that has the shudder problem.

Amazing I felt it (when towing) since Day One.

Must be my imagination.

I am very busy right now, BUT I still called the local NAPA and they have 2 351's on hold for me!!

So, what do you think guys?

Thanks, KO

If the NAPA U-Joints have grease fittings and the DC ones don't, I'd remove the driveshaft myself, buy the NAPA parts and have them (or someone else) press them into place for you. Otherwise, 45k miles from now you'll probably be replacing the DC joints again.
