U Joints 318K

My 2001.5 2500 with 318K miles just had the U-Joints replaced for 1st time. Still had some grease, no rust and just a bit of wear on the bearing surfaces. Chasing a speed related subtle vibration, not even sure it is gone after U-Joint replacement, but it was time. 318K is a personal best for U-Joints on anything I have ever owned, especially for non servable ones, suitably impressed. Put Spicer back in, but the new ones have a grease fitting.

Both of my front ones failed by 80,000 miles, weird I guess. The ones on the axle, not driveshaft.

@endoscott I had previously replaced the ones on the ends of the front drive axles, but I think still close to 200k. The ones on the front driveline are still original, but those don't get any use unless 4x4 is engaged.

My Son has my 98 12V and with well over 450k on the same driveline U joints. My C20 had same mileage when I sold it with OE U joints and they were non grazable also.
