Harley Davidson Moving Assembly Plant?? Fact or Fiction???

1954 Ford Skyliner parts

I happen to be working on a 2005 jeep wrangler rubicon. The front cv is getting sloppy and is audible. Went to napa and asked for spicer replacement u joints and ball. They said that they no longer carry spicer and I wound up with their napa brand Proformer. I have never heard of them before and when looking at the box it said made in china. I found this to be rather shocking! Im now thinking of returning them and finding spicer parts. My question is has anyone used this brand before? are they any good? Thanks for your time and any information will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about what brand they were, but I recently replaced two u-joints for my B. I. L. that came from Napa...

Of course, he was price shopping cause thats how cheap he is. . It was a strange set of u-joints, the cross-head was drilled, but there was no external provision for a grease zerk. I drilled the center of one cap and installed a zerk.

I would return them. I have never seen or experienced anything other than fireworks that is worth a damn from China. I would try O'Reilly auto parts. They have more USA made stuff than any other parts house I have seen. It is sad because NAPA used to be good. You may also check the internet. Get one with grease fittings for sure!!

Here is the Spicer chart and part numbers for your Jeep...

So for the Rubicon front shaft you need a pair of 5-213X and one 5-212X.

Can't find the part number for the center kit tonight, need a printed book for that.
