Have done a search and can not find any info on the best u-joints to use. Am waiting for my DTT TC & VB to arrive and while my truck is in the shop I will replace both joints. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

IMO and taking advice from Enterprise engine performance the only u-joints to use are the stock Mopar u-joints. They are much heavier than any of the aftermarket ones I was able to find. The center of the yoke is SOLID on the mopar one. They aren't greasable but I replaced my rear most one when I changed out my clutch at 65,000 miles and it still had plenty of grease in it. I run my truck on the sand dunes and they didn't have any sand in them either. Until this truck I'd always gone with greasable replacements. According to enterprise they are the only u-joints they can get to hold up in their trucks and they've tried them all. JMHO

I use Dana (Spicer) from NAPA. Greasable! The best thing to do with these is buy some plastic caps (Reid Tool) to keep the zirks covered. They live a lot longer.

Strength difference? Hmmm. Yup, a little from having a solid bar vs a small grease hole through it. But unless you are able to apply torque like Steve (or have torque like Steve to apply) you will wear them out before you bend them!
