Sept 14th, Englishtown, NJ's Raceway Park will be hosting the Diesel Nationals. An all Diesel Event. Pickups have two classes, one of which runs heads up for $$$. Racing starts at around 9am, and eliminations begin at 3pm sharp. Let's all make this a pickup dominant event. A few years ago, we absolutely flooded the place with Diesel pickups. Let's make it happen.

I attended last year’s race and had a blast.

There were some great vendor’s showing and talking their wares beside the big rig stuff. Not to mention the Sponsor, Cummins. Who displayed their full engine line and a running demo of their Signature 600. Cummins was represented by MetroPower of Newark. A great bunch of guys whom answered practically all my questions. If they did not have an answer, they contacted me on Monday afternoon with it ;)

For those who are not familiar with the area there is one of the largest Flea Markets located just five minutes from the track. Englishtown Flea Market has not only a little bit of everything, but some of the best prices found anywhere.

The display area had all kinds of Kenworth’s, Freightliner’s, Volvo’s, etc. There was a good showing of Rams and FlowerPokes. Plus, when was the last time you saw a single screw, cab-over do low 13’s in the 1/4 mile

There is something for the whole family at or around this event :D :D :D

I was just there last night, grenaded an H2E and oiled down the track with 11 quarts of fresh Rotella T. The truck's back up and running once again. It wouldn't be a Diesel Nationals without blowing a turbo two nights before the event.

Despite having to take a big step into the opposite direction by using a HX35 turbo on the racer in a last moment "let's fix it before the race" theme, the racer was able to pull a sleepy 12. 81 @ 110 mph and clean up it's category to come home with the class eliminator for class MOD P/U. I feel the truck has consistent 11 second passes in it now, but we just need to incorporate a larger turbo, since this one is way beyond efficient for it's operational environment. Either way, it was a great day!

I'm glad I was there to watch you and others rip up the pavement..... literally!

Between the jet cars/truck and the monster trucks... . that track took a beating!!
