uconnect downloads

I have a 2015 mega Laramie for almost a year in august got a reminder from uconnect to pay 150.00 for a years service anyway I realized I have not gotten any kind of check up for truck by email , called uconnect they tell me my truck needed an update since last October and we did not know it but they didn't tell me to get update but they could send me an email for bill , we have been trying to do software update according to there site but I will not update my truck has anyone else tried and had a problem thanks for any info

Do you really need what UConnect has to offer for that $150, do you feel it is worth it? The "via mobile" part of it (the apps) is good for five years.

I have updated mine several times. I followed the instructions. You didn't say what part was not working for you. From my memory:
1) You enter your VIN and download a zip file from UConnect,
2) expand it to create a swdl.iso file. Make sure it is named exactly that (not swdl-1.iso or anything else that might happen if you have two files of the same name,
3) copy that swdl file to a FAT formatted USB flash drive that has nothing else on it,
4) insert the flash drive into the USB port in your truck, the one that goes to UConnect, not the one(s) that are for charging only,
5) turn the ignition to ON,
6) wait a while until it figures it out. Don't be impatient
7) I believe you have to answer "yes" to do the upgrade,
8) wait until it completes installing. It has a progress message and completion bar so you'll know it is doing something
9) then turn off your truck and remove the flash drive.
