I bought a factory MOPAR UConnect kit and am having troubles with the install.
Is this a Can-B or J-1850 radio system in my truck? It makes a difference on how to connect the wiring behind the RAQ radio. If it's a Can-B you have to cut off a feed wire off the harness and feed a power wire from the cigarette lighter. If it's a J-1850 system. you cut the lead off that would be soldered to the cigarette lighter and tape it out of the way.
I don't want to goof things up and I cant find the answer in the Dodge service manual. Thanks, Herb

Had that system in my 08 and Hated it .Not sure how they hooked it up thou .Might try talking to a Stereo place that does Install's .

I hooked it up today. Quite a job. I had to run mic from overhead thru headliner, drill four holes for screws under the steering wheel to mount stuff and pull out the radio to replug it's feed. Then mount the control button. All complete and seems to work great. Haven't road tested it yet. I'm thinking now about going for the heater/AC unit while the dash is amuck. My AC has a major leak.

Oh, my truck and trucks 2006 and newer are CAN-B type and not J-1850. I soldered my feed to the cigarette lighter feed.
