I renewed my Uconnect subscription and it came with the 4G adapter since AT&T and others are shutting down 3G this month. It plugs into the OBDII connector. That is a problem because I have the AMP Research steps that also has to plug in to that connector. When the AMP Research steps were installed, they installed an OBDII splitter cable. The 4G adapter will not power up when plugged into the splitter. Has anyone had this issue, or figured out a way to make it work?

I've had some splitters that don't have all the pins wired out. I can visually see that on them its missing pins.

We use them for our ODB GPS's units. Probably similar little devices.

I’ve never had an OBD splitter device work for anything I’ve plugged into it, even if only one half is connected. Things can tell and don’t like them.

Maybe ask AMP if there is a retrofit to use a hardwired kit?

Thanks, I have been so wound up in this 3G / 4G mess and trying to get the adapter to work, I never even thought about contacting AMP. I will contact them next.

Have a great day
