Hi all,
Recent purchase for me was a 2012 3500 Laramie which comes with the RHB 430N radio. I've had an issue with my Moto X Pure (xt1575) phone since I purchased it. That is, the phone will accept a call, but will not make a call over Bluetooth. If I tried to initiate a call over Bluetooth it would connect with the phone, but the radio would say "call ended" almost immediately. It was maddening. My phone works on every other device I've ever used (including countless rental cars).
After HOURS of searching I found the following TSB which doesn't list 2012MY trucks, but does list the same radio. I thought I'd give it a try.
The file here
(you have to remove the (Android1A) from the file name) brought my Bluetooth Software to 63.03.06 (not 63.03.08 as the TSB suggests) but it SEEMS to have solved the issue. I can now dial out and receive calls. I haven't tried it a lot, but a couple calls I tried in my driveway went through as they should have.
I'll report back if it turns south.
For what its worth, my phone is a Moto X Pure running 6.0 (Marshmallow)
I contacted UConnect multiple times about this issue and their response was always that some moto phones are not compatible.
I hope this helps someone else with the same issue (FWIW, others reported the same issue with samsung phones like the S5).
EDIT: oh- i had to put the USB in the glove box port for this to work, NOT in the radio port
Best,
Liam
