UConnect

Is it possible to retrofit UConnect to an 07. 5 truck? I have used the Dodge online inventory search tool and cannot find a configuration with UConnect that I am satisfied with. If it can be added, then I might actually find something.

When I bought my '06, UConnect could be purchased as a dealer installed option. I kept looking for factory installed as the buttons are integrated into the rear view mirror. A cleaner look in my opinion. If I remember correctly, the dealer installed version was around $300 + labor.



Installation aside, I love the UConnect. Automatic muting of the tunes and caller ID right on my stereo. I don't use the voice dialing much as it can be easliy confused by background noise.

I have the factory Uconnect on my C&C and love it. Its an 07, I would assume you can get it, but I also have the navigation and love the on screen menu.

In hte earilier years, when Uconnect first came out, the dealer accy was not the same as the factory system. The dealer accy was more of a poor aftermarket add-on from what I can tell. My next truck that I'm not going to buy will have factory Uconnect.

Thanks for the responses. I think now I will skip the new truck process and address the hands free phone with a new audio head unit with built in BT.

My Grandson bought a new 06' MEGA CAB, that had the factory U-Connect and Sirius radio. It is an Awsome feature! I'm sure Dodge should have a unit for your truck.
