John, as the beta tester for this, whats the status of this program going live with SMARTY owners like myself being able to use it?

It's available right now. I just sent my S04 in for upgrade and Bob is including a UDC dongle also. I believe the UDC is $159. through the end of the month.

Oh, guess I misunderstood. I thought it was going to be a free download for current owners... Guess I need to look into it! Are you doing the mapping yourself or will you bring it into a tuning shop?

I'll do it myself... . may not have to change much. I asked Bob to load the latest TNTR software to my upgraded Smarty, so depending on how it performs compared to my old vin-locked TNTR. My vin-locked version was pretty good, I just wanted it to spool earlier like the standard Revo programming did on my truck, so maybe just back down the early/low rpm timing a touch using the TNTR sample.

I have alot to learn, need to start playing with the UDC software. I am not very computer literate, if someone shows me how to do something I pick it up fast, but this may take me awhile. Wish I lived closer to AH64ID, I would become a nuisance to him:-laf:-laf.

I have been looking forward to the release of EFI Live, and still am; just wish I could get some more info/knowledge on the UDC. I have the Smarty S06 POD and would like to send it in for the license but really need to know... How does it compare to EFI, is it seeing the same successes? Are users happy with it?

Since EFI is not available for our early(03/05) 3rd gens, there is no comparison. Here is a thread from CF(sorry), that may explain a little http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-performance-parts-discussion/549560-udc-dyno-results.html.

I don't believe you have to send your S06 in, just order the dongle. Not exactly sure how it works, but I am thinking you have to enter your VIN on 1st use of the license.
