I go to prime the system and no noise from the lift pump, DOH!!!!

Yup, add me to the list:{

Well, after rapping on the outside of the lift pump, it finally started to run, was able to prime and start the truck.

Now, I'm off to see the boys at Cummins MetroPower!!!

You were lucky and unlucky at the same time ,lucky you found that the pump made no sound and it was not working . Some pumps run but do not pump giving you a false impression that all is well with the pump ,this would lead to bleeding the system and every thing you could think of to get the truck started . While waiting for the new pump look into a fuel pressure gauge then you can see the pointer move as you turn the key to start the truck first it will go to full psi then back to zero then as the starter is turned the pump will go to psi of idle or there about . You will know for sure if its working . Ron in Louisville KYOo.

I have a fuel pressure gauge, it has been acting really weird the last few days, that's what made me change out the filter. It was due to be changed anyway. I did have some dirt in the bottom of the housing, and didn't notice any water:)

The gauge was telling you some thing like the pump went south a few days ago . I think the gauge is ok ,check it at first turn of the key when the new pump is installed . I was going by your signature as to having a fuel gauge . LOL Ron in Louisville KY:D

Mark: You and your brother love the bottlerocket almost as much as I do..... :D

Did he make one (or a few... ) yet?

Fix that LP... and put them stacks on!!
