Just two months ago my truck hit the 100,000 mile mark and all was well. Today pulling my boat up the infamous Parley's Canyon the transmission started to slip when I got into the pedal on the first steep incline (overdrive was off). I turned around immediately and headed home. No problems going down and on flats, just when it's working on a hill. Damn!:{

Does anybody know of a good transmission shop in the Salt Lake area? I want to get a major upgrade to the TC.

Thanks,

Steve

Don't know the Salt Lake City area all that well. But I am sure there are some reps that sell the major brands. I chose SunCoast for my TC/Valve body upgrade and my son installed it for me so didn't need a rep.

The there's a lot of good ones out there, DTT, ATS, SunCoast, Dunrite, Goerend, and others. Each have their staunch supporters.

If you have a favorite brand in mind, I would call them up and ask for a local rep to do the work for you. You will get a better quality of service that way.

Sorry about your fun trip being cut so short. My transmission has 116k on it and we just did the TC as I mentioned. It was making a little metal dust before I did the job and am trying to get by without overhauling the complete transmission. So far, the dust has stopped up a new shift solenoid and had to replace it. hope that is the end of the problems for me.
