Well it was all Chevy in the Super Street, and Ford in the Mod class this past weekend Tom in his BIG POWER DIESEL and I in the BBD couldn’t get it done
Nick Damico and his Chevy with the new meats and traction bars were running awesome as he put 15’ on Tom in the Super street class. And in the www.dieselplace.com pull off he got him by only 5’. This defiantly the battle to keep an eye on in the Super Street class as these two have been trading off wins all season.
In the Mod class Bryan Kinney with the Psychstroker finally came out of hiding for his first pull of the season sporting a dually conversion and Dana 80 rear end the rig was looking sweet, well for a ford
J/K Bryan was smart in getting across the scale first and it paid off big time as he yanked the sled to approx the 175’ mark and put the fire out with to much NOS. On his second hook he didn’t hit the second stage of NOS and made the only full pull of the night it was and awesome hook. I let the BBD go and as I approached the 200’ mark I new I was experiencing something for the very first time, and it wasn’t good
I got out of it and ended up with a modest second place at only 278’ I believe we have melted a piston or two as there is some major noise within the block. It will take some further investigation to determine the full extent of the damage but our season has ended three hooks earlier then we had planned on.
