Which gen trucks are going to need additives to keep from getting damaged if any? I've looked around and I can't seem to find a straight answer.

Do a broad search here and you will find.

If you're running the stock pump, you should definetly use something for protection. That pump is dependent solely on fuel as a lube. I use the Cummins, Valvoline, or Stanadyne additive when I can get my hands on it.

Just went to a seminar put on by Chevron/Texaco this week and appearently the fuel companies did adhere to the minimum lubricity standards for ULSD , because so far there have been no pump, inj. ,or seal failures like when the 500ppm fuel came out. For peace of mind though I'm running additives as it is much less expensive than injection parts.
