Ultimate Console Group Purchase

I was talking with Rob Thomas @ Black Mountain Diesel this weekend about his "Ultimate Console. " He said that at one time he offered a group purchase on the console to try and lower the total cost of the product. As a 19 yr. old with a truck payment and a couple of other little odds and ends I know that $300 is hard to scrape up to spend just as well as you adults.



But with Christmas just around the corner I thought maybe we could convince a few more TDR members to come in together on a group purchase of the consoles to get them at a better price. Think it would be the "Ultimate" gift for yourself as well as your CTD.



If any of you are interested please feel free to post. I for one hope to have more than a few members come forward where we can all get one of these very well crafted consoles for our trucks.

I interested in two - one for me, one for my dad. But I need to know if the cup holder portion of the console is any "higher" than the stock center section. My right leg sticks out over the corner/towards the shifter due to my height. It's not an issue for my dad - just me.



Can anybody take pics with the driver in the seat?

Brian, Rob and I were at BMD for Dyno Day this weekend. Rob is not a employee of BMD but makes the consoles on the side (or something like that right Rob?).



Anyhow good to see that there is an interest. Lets keep this post going and see how many we can get then I will talk with Rob and see what kinda price we can get. Oo.

We seen the one in Rob's truck when in the Michigan's U. P. in September, and Rob does quality work IMO.

Brian, the cupholder's are actually lower than the stock seat. The reason being, is that when a beverage is in the holder, it will interfere with the shifter (on a manual). If desired for the auto guys, I will make the cupholder flush with the top of the rest of the console.

Can you post pics showing the different stains you have used for the different interior colors? My '00 has the dark gray - agate? - leather interior and my dad's '96 has the dark gray cloth interior.

Unfortunatly, I didn't take any pics of differant stains, sorry. The last pic I posted was clear poly over cherry. The pic Eric posted was a red mahogony stain. For the dark interiors I have done them in an ebony stain and they look very nice, again sorry about the lack of color pics.

I believe that's with your Brian. I spoke with Rob today and he would really like 15 orders more than 10. The more we get the cheaper its gonna be so please everybody tell everybody and lets try and get this deal going before Christmas sneaks up on us.
