2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Ultra Rare Truck

Today I saw a Club Cab (not Quad Cab), short box, 4x4, sport, stick shift, 24V truck. Had to look twice and yes it was. I know in '98 the Quad cabs started but were a 12V for the first 1/2 of the model year and a 24V for the second half. They must have had a few club cabs left over somewhere and used em up.



I spoke to the lady driving the truck and she new nothing about it. I asked her if it was a '98 (it's gotta be) but she didn't know.

The quad cab was an option till '99,you could get a std cab, club cab or a quad cab till 2000 MY then the club cab was droped all together. I personally have seen a few of these

Well ya learn something every day! Maybe it's not as rare as I thought then. Guess I won't run out and get a lottery ticket after all.

The ranch I used to work at back in '98 had a '98 Club Cab--it was a 12V, longbed, 5spd, 4x4 . . . and for some reason, it was a gutless wonder. We always joked that Dodge detuned it so that the 24V would seem more powerful.

I don't think the club cab was availible untill 1996, my best friend has one of the first and he ordered it in 1995. Your friends truck may have manuf. date of 1995, but I would suspect the model year is 1996.

94 was the first year of the T300 body style, 2nd gen truck which was a standard cab, long box. In the fall of 94 introduced the club coupe for the 95 year, [this what the broshuor calls it], or extended cab, long box. and then as mentioned 98 had the rear doors, of which I wish mine had. And probably special order for the short box later on.

Dodge DID make 1/2 ton ext cab short beds starting in 95, but none w/Diesels (2500) untill 98

he bought it used, we figure it was a body swap. It has the older interior also.

You could get 2500 short bed club cabs. You just could not get them with a diesel. I almost bought a 96 2500 SB CC with a 360 in it. Most of them had 4. 10 gears, FWIW.

3/4 ton gas powered trucks were available as CC SWB - my dad ordered one and I got stuck with it for ~2 years when I 'loaned' him my '96 2500 CTD 4wd LWB to tow their 5th wheel.....



Dad's truck was a '96 2500 4wd CC SWB 5. 9L V-8/Auto and it was a gutless POS but it fit in the parent's garage when a LWB wouldn't.
