I just received my new boost gauge for my 03 and my Ultragauge (to be swapped between trucks for the time being). $102 Cdn in my mailbox. What should I monitor and what are normal readings? Right now I am monitoring instant MPG, boost ( works with boost gauge until 23psi then it won't read), I have Intake air temp (it must read off of map sensor), coolant temp, rail pressure, and %engine load. I am running the UG in my 05 right now but tomorrow I'll move it into my 03 and see what happens. From what I've read is that I won't have rail pressure on my 03.

I'm amazed at what all one can do with the Ultragauge I might have to try it in the wife's Traverse.

I put the UG in my 03 and it doesn't monitor Rail Pressure or ambient air temp. The engine load % maxes out at 60%. I wonder if the Smarty Touch would display these on an 03? I wonder what an Edge CTS will monitor on an 03. I don't necessarily trust what is posted on websites...

60ish on load is normal, so if you max at 60 then 60 =100 and 30 = 50.

It has to do with the ECM and how MADS/Smarty are able to make the power. It's specific to 03-04.
