I'm trying to finish the last piece of the wiring on the truck for my camper, and that piece is to find a 12v source under the hood that is ignition-activated, to switch the battery isolator on/off.
On my '96, there was an unused plug tucked up under the cowl about 12-14" from the center of the engine toward the passenger side. The installation people at the RV dealer plugged the wire into one of the terminals of this unused connector.
Problem is, I haven't found such a spot on my new 2001. I'd rather not have to run the wire inside; there's bound to be something under the hood that does this.
Anybody have the service manual handy that could see where such a place might be?
Thanks!
