Under the bed storage

I would like to turn the wasted space in front of the rear wheels (between the wheel wells and the cab) into useful storage. I have seen older trucks that have a built-in storage space there. Does anyone know who makes a storage box that can be bolted in there? It would require modifications to the bed (just cut that part of the bed out). It really only looks like a fairing with no real structural function. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. (At this point, I wouldn't consider a utility bed. )

I'm interested in the same sort of thing.



A couple of years ago, I saw this box on a Ford Superduty that had been modified to use up all that wasted space by a company that specialized in doing these mods. Can't remember the name, maybe some one else knows.



The box looked really... was said to be really expensive.

I know that they have made RAM's where the fender lifts up and there is a built in tool storage. I seen it at a show a year or so ago--My understanding was that they were supposed to be options on the new generations... .
