Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for keeping all of your stuff underneath the rear seat from rolling around. I know they sell the after market plastic tool boxes but they would have to be modified for pre '99. Any homemade solutiuons??

Homerdog, I keep my underseat storage full of all kinds of good stuff, then I put a pair of my clean coveralls on top of all the goodies, this keeps the rattlin down to a minium:cool: Kevin

Homer, Doesn't Geno's sell the under seat storage unit? I cannot say if it will fit a club cab vs quad cab, but I can't believe that the two are that much different. The one sold in geno's looks exactly like the factory one that came on my 01. 5. You might want to give them a call. They are great for holding all those things you need to carry, but don't want rolling around in the back. I think the cost is around 120 bucks. Matt

Homer: On my '97 I cut a piece of 1/4" plywood, and fastened a 1 1/2" high border around it and screwed it to the floor. Kept all kinds of junk under the seat. This was on the passenger side. I looked a the box from Geno's last time I was down there, and if I didn't have electric seats in Moms Ram, would have bought one.

Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions. The after market tool boxes will not fit the club cabs. I bought one for my dad's '99 and tried to put it in mine first to see if it would fit. It wouldn't because of the jack storage. If a guy wanted to to some hackin, I'm sure you could make it fit. I'm lookin to do a fix with wood and maybe carpet so it looks good. Thanks again... .

Storage

Homerdog, the USS Junkbox fits nicely under the rear of the Quad-cab, can be strapped to the jack-handle ties so no drilling req (mine has never moved in a year. Genos has that great security drawer (awesome) for the passsenger front-won't fit power (driver) seats. Then there's the Shelf-it overhead units, which unless your giftedly shorter (yes it CAN be an [ouch!] gift) will NOT work if you still want sun visors. Hope all this helps!

HOMERDOG,I have a metal version of what Geno's sells and it fits in my 98. I think I saw it in the TDR,but don't see it now. I'll look and see where I got it and lrt you know,I took my jack out-installed storage unit and put the jack along with a million other things in it. It came with a carpeted exterior that mathces my grey cloth very well,I recall that there were a couple of options on color of exterior.

There was an under seat storage unit that fit club cabs pre 99. It was written up in early issue (14 to 20) I beleive, will research issues see if I can find it.

I think you could easily make one out of wood and really talented out of metal.
