Underseat storage

Has anybody bought the "U. S. S. Junkbox" advertised on the site? Its a buck twenty and before the bananas get sent out I would like to know if they are any good. If theres another under the back seat box that you are happy with, please give me the details.

I ordered the USS Junkbox, but then returned it and installed the Mopar unit; very happy with it, it's lockable, looks great, and matches the factory interior color.

I don't remember exactly, as it's been over a year and I'm not near my receipt file, but I got it from Mopar4less.com, which has the best prices I've found on any factory parts. I want to say in the ~$140 neighborhood.

I've had the Junkbox for over a year and am very satisfied. As far as looks go you can't see it with the seat down anyway. It is very handy for holding all sorts of stuff. If you want a box that will lock spend the extra money, I would say it would be worth it if your going to carry things around of 'higher' value. good luck, I would say you can't hardly go wrong with either of these products.

Maybe I'm just too cheap, but for $5 I went to the lumber yard and bought a 6' pc of 1 x 8 board which is 3/4" x 7 1/4". I cut it to lenght so it would fit back about an inch from the outside edge of the seat. then with my band saw cut out for the hump in the floor and the seat release handles. If you take out the screws that hold the side panel and get some 90 deg. steel angle pcs at the hardware store and screw them to the 1 x 8 and into the side panel with a couple on the floor also, paint it the same color as the carpet and it makes a great storage area. As far as I'm concerned its better then a $100 + pc of plastic! With the seat down you hardly notice it and I have more money to spend on something better on my rig. Hmmm, like the Mega Cannon air filter? Yep, ordered it yesterday!

By the way, the 7 1/4" is just the right width, at least on my pickup.
